These last few years, the music industry has welcomed some notable newcomers who have solidified their brands in record time. One such artist is Shoplift Spittz, who fans will remember for his hit single “Distance.” Today, the artist is putting together an album entitled Every Day Above Ground, which will feature his breakthrough single and so much more.

It was late last year when Deon “Shoplift” Williams released “Distance,” which could spread like wildfire across various media channels. Following a feature release on World Star, the song racked up over 300,000 views and counting. Since then, the artist has been cruising on a tidal wave of influence, and artistic renown as rap enthusiasts and fans continue to consume his music on platforms like SoundCloud, YouTube, and Spotify.

Shoplift has worked and toured with various top-tier artists in the world of rap music. Some rappers he’s shared either stage or track time with include Fred Da God Son, Tabius Tate, Obie Trice, Lil Boosie, 50 Cent, and many others. His most remarkable experience by far was touring with hip-hop legend Obie Trice both nationally and internationally, which Shoplift maintains was one of the richest learning experiences in his rap career.

What makes the rap artist stand out is his unparalleled commitment to polishing his music. For Shoplift, his music is more than just a part of him. “The culture is me, and I am it; I couldn’t imagine my life without music,” shares the rap artist. “My purpose is to push the culture forward with my encounters through my music.” Moreover, Shoplift has the tenacity and perseverance to back his passion. His solid work ethic makes for a strong advantage, putting him on the top of various artist circles.

But that’s not to say that the musical artist hasn’t seen his share of heartaches and pains. Shoplift watched his life crumble before his eyes after losing his father, a former member of “Four Tops.” The experience left Shoplift devastated beyond measure, exposing him to the grief and sorrow of a tragic loss. But Shop never wavered and soon found a way to channel his emotion into his music. He also found strength in knowing that his father would have encouraged him never to quit music if he were alive today.

Presently, Shoplift Spittz has used his pain to become a beacon of hope to those who have lost all of it. “I’ve been through all this to get you through this very moment, to get you to this present time, to get you past your own scars, wounds, and fears,” shares Spittz. “This is a reminder to you that fear doesn’t control us.” Spittz hopes that the release of his upcoming album would solidify that message all the more.

Every Day Above Ground will be released on February 21, 2021, under Detroit, Michigan-based local label Do Something Entertainment, followed by intense visuals shot by filmmaker Jordan Garland. Apart from pursuing a music career, Shoplift also runs an online store called SLVM SKRDZ, which offers a line of merchandise that will promote music, positivity, and personal success.

The artist’s upcoming album will also feature Love and Hip Hop’s Tabius Tate, Mr. T The Producer, Engineer Selasi Duse, and many others. Visit Shoplift Spittz’s website and Apple music profile to follow his music.
